Samsung handover guide
Samsung Kids, app pinning or a touch lock?
Three different Galaxy phone controls for three different handover jobs. Pick the one that matches what you actually want to prevent.

Before handing over a Galaxy phone, decide what you want to prevent. Do you want a child to explore a set of approved apps, stay inside one app, or stop accidental taps while a video plays? Those are different jobs.
For a children's environment: Samsung Kids
Samsung Kids provides a space where parents can manage app access, time limits and usage. It makes sense when you want a selection of activities under parental controls. Availability and individual features can vary by device and country.
Read Samsung's setup instructions and check the controls on your own Galaxy before a child uses it.
For keeping one app open: app pinning
Android app pinning keeps the selected app on screen until it is unpinned. It is useful when you want to lend someone one app without giving them the rest of the phone. It still lets them interact with that app.
Use Samsung's current pinning instructions. Check the option that requires your device credentials when unpinning, and practise getting out yourself.
For accidental touches: a touch lock
ToddlerLock adds a touch-blocking layer over the app you choose. Core locking needs no account, and the free release is a hold followed by a slide. It asks for Accessibility access and permission to display over other apps.
Android system panels and floating picture-in-picture windows can sit above ordinary app overlays. Close floating windows, choose the content yourself, and test the lock and release before handing over. ToddlerLock does not filter videos or replace supervision.
If the only problem is YouTube taps
YouTube already offers a screen lock in its mobile player settings. Try that first for accidental playback touches. It is different from keeping the entire phone inside a chosen app. Our YouTube lock guide explains the difference.
Make the first handover a test
Choose the simplest control that does what you need. Check it on the phone in your hand, practise the release, then stay nearby. For ToddlerLock, start with the permission and setup guide.
Core locking is free; Plus is optional.
